Our Ministry with College Students and Young Adults

Who we are…

We are a group of college students and young adults who gather to seek God and follow Christ in our world. While we are connected to the American Baptist Churches, USA, our members include Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, and others. All are welcome; all viewpoints are respected. We are a young community. This is our second full academic year of ministry. We are seekers of differing opinions and abilities, united by our common commitment to follow Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Our statement of purpose is as follows:

To help persons discover and celebrate the presence of God in their lives, encouraging them to follow Christ in service to God and humanity.

What we do…

We meet each and every Monday night from 8:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on the third floor of First Baptist Church (our host) for singing, prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. We enjoy weekly lunch/devotional meetings on area college campuses. Some, though not all, of us participate in Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. at First Baptist, Columbia. Those attending share lunch together afterward. We schedule monthly service projects and/or fellowship events. We have a Fall Retreat, a Winter Retreat, and a May Missions trip (This May we plan to go to Mexico for a week). We would love for you to join us!!!
