Ring to the Lord!
Handbell Opportunities for Kids to Adults

Children | Groups generally begin every other year for children in grades
3-5. Currently the Intermediate Childrens Bell Choir consists of
ten children, and meets every Sunday from 6:15 -7:00 pm. They are planning
to attend the America Guild of English Handbell Ringers festival in June 2002. |
| Youth | The Youth Ensemble is an exciting group of ringers in grades
6-12. There are approximately 17 ringers, and they meet every Sunday from
4:45-5:45 pm. |
| Adults | ABC (Adult Begining Choir) Belles is a group designed for
beginning adult ringers that meets Mondays from 11:15-12:30. The group
is in its thrid year but still likes to be referred to as beginners. They
have a ton of fun!
The Chancel Bells are an advanced
grouip that rings quite frequently in worship. Ringers range in age
from college to senior adult, and they meet on Wednesdays from 6:60-7:00pm |
First Baptist is blessed to have two complete 5 octave sets of Schulmerich Handbells and two
3 octave sets of Malmark chimes.
The church is also home base for the nationally recognized
Columbia Handbell Ensemble.
